I've had this same problem with brand new Lapua brass. Fit fine in an RCBS shellholder but some wanted to hang up in Redding shellholder.
Brass was shot in a big chamber, probably a hot load, and not sized correctly
Dusty, if it was a hot load do you slightly cut down the head of the case or throw it out?Brass was shot in a big chamber, probably a hot load, and not sized correctly
Get a different shellholderDusty, if it was a hot load do you slightly cut down the head of the case or throw it out?

It is the same & only shell holder I have been useing for over 5000 rounds. I was thinking a few pc of brass must have had a hot load during testing. Maybe it is that simple.Get a different shellholder
It is simple. If your shellholder is that close though it may be influencing your cases going into the die so that makes another reason to get another shellholder. Could be this lot of brass may be on the big side. You know i like plenty of slack on everything in the press and die- let the die work with no outside influenceIt is the same & only shell holder I have been useing for over 5000 rounds.
