brass shaving on FL bushing die?

I initially never thought this to be an issue, but now it is bothering me.

My brass is getting ever so slightly shaved off on the neck. I think it is due to a slight edge exposed beyond the bushing that is causing this when I resize.

Have you guys seen this before? I already contacted the mfg and am waiting for them to get back to me on this.

I guess I could try to increase the OD a bit and get rid of this edge myself...

Is your bushing "TIGHT" in the die (meaning it doesn't move or have room to move) laterally ? I leave the top just loose enough to allow the bushing to self-center.

It is NOT tight in the die...

It is a defect in the mouth of the bushing.

Send it back. If you want to polish it, use at least 1,000 grit silicone carbide paper... with oil.

All of my bushings get the feed mouths polished to a mirror finish.

There was a thread here last week about it.

So I took polished off the edge of the die where the bushing meets the chamber section. This was the problem as I got no more shaving brass.

I think mine was a little more exaggerated in that I think the hole was cut slightly off center. the issue was only one side of the die, so I paid attention more to it.

The only thing now after doing this is that I get a line where the bushing stops. I dont think this is bushing or die issue, but more of an issue that since, I have a no neck turn chamber, my neck gets blown out to a final OD of .315" and I am then resizing the brass all the way down to .311/.312.

See below for a pic. On the left side, the brass that was getting shaved a little. You can see where it was happening as it appears to be a lighter color. I was still getting the horizontal line on the brass on the left, but it was less pronounced as the shaving was masking this horizontal line. Now that I dont have the shaving issue, the line is more pronounced on the brass where I believe the bushing and the die meet. I polished the crap out of the die so there should not be a crazy edge there. I am also using redding TiN coated bushings.

Do you think this is still an issue? should I try to maybe chamfer that edge from the top side?
