Ok this is probally a dumb question but whats the differenc between the luapa 6mmbr brass and lets say the remington brass as far as dimensons is the luapa brass just a touch longer thanks

What is the Correct OAL for the Case?
New Lapua brass measures 1.556-1.557". SAAMI spec for the 6mm BR Norma case is 1.560". By contrast the OAL spec for 6mm BR Remington is 1.520". The Lapua brass is headstamped 6mm BR Norma-Lapua. We trim all our cases to 1.555" when any one reaches 1.560" or longer.

So the luapa brass will work in a 6mm r remington? It just needs to be trimmed right?

The major difference is there isn't any 6mmBR Lapua available here in the states until,hopefully) February. The last batch imported amounted to 3000 pieces for each of the big dealers. I hear some of them like Bruno and Sinclair have 30,000 pieces or more on back order. I just hope that I am high enough in the queque to get my paltry little 200 pieces so I can try my new bbl. Where is all of the brass going, it is really hard to wear it out if you load it right. I think that the 300 pieces that I have for my 22BR will outlast at leaset 1 bbl. Must be the bbl makers are working overtime putting out new bbls. JimDee
