Brass bullets?

Ok this may be far fetched. Has anyone ever had any experience with brass as a material for bullets. I have been Tossing around the idea of making a few brass hollow point bullets. I have all th capabilities to hold very tight tolerances. If I do this they will be machined on a Swiss style cnc lathe. I will have no problem machining the bullets. I was wanting to know about material. Will there be any ill effects from brass. I know most are made of some type of copper or copper alloy.

Try some of the new "DaVinci" CNC-machined bullets from NECO. Makes sense to buy a box to field test before you go much further down the road. $75.00/100. These are 6.5mm 107 grain, solid machining brass.

Also try Lehigh

I use their 308 in a subsonic suppressed platform and very happy with accuracy and terminal performance.

I manufacture copper bullets by CNC named AERO.
On special request I also make brass bullets.

Both material work but with copper we get better accuracy.
Also hollowpoint bullets work better with copper because it has 1/2 of hardness.
But for maximum penetration brass is better ;)

When making brass bullets make a lot of grooves. Without grooves it can waste your barrel very quickly and excessive pressure can destroy guns with thinner barrels. Brass is two times harder than copper.
