WELCOME ABOARD tn shooter! Always good to see another has befallen the inevitable "rush" and challenge9S) that Benchrest shooting offers. If you think you've experienced something new, give it five years or so and see how you bank account looks then. In fact, the longer you go AND stay in the game, the poorer you'll become, especially if you retire in the meanwhile. All sarcasm aside, there is much to be learned and loads of fun doing it as your target scores improve over time. Lots of knowledgeable, good guys up here. Some may offer what you think is questionable advice. But over my many years of shooting and reloading, I've learned to listen to what everyone has to say (unless its way out in left field and obviously dangerous). Give it a shot and if it doesn't work for you, forget it and move on. The challenges are many and different folks approach issues from different angles. Stick with what works for you. Most of all, sound off and have fun in doing it all. When the fun is gone, take up something else. But even after more than 50 years of shooting various disciplines, Benchrest has kept me coming back for more. And yes, my wife has more shoes than she could wear in a lifetime. But guess what, I've got plenty of toys myself that I never even considered when I started shooting Benchrest.
