Br4 Vs cci450

whats the difference the cci450 is a magnum primer is the Br4 a 400 primer? i use the cci 450 in my 204 savage 12 Fv but i noticed many people use the Br4 in there 204's Thanks

I think the BR-4 is suppose to be a higher quality primer. Just what I've read. Bill

Hello Bill,

The BR-4 primer is the bench rest quality primer that CCI makes and would be the equivalent to the CCI 400 small rifle primer in your load data. The BR primers are made to a stricter quality standard than the standard primers and the most experienced operators will do the assembly work on the production line.

I've been doing a lot of primer switching lately and the BR4's seem to always come out in last place.
Maybe I got the Friday afternoon batch.
