br to brx

Question. I have a no turn 6br chamber. Neck is .272
Picked up a brx reamer with a .269 neck. Can the chamber be reamed out with the brx reamer with no ill effect?, keeping the 272 neck?

Never done it, but it should be OK. The brx is supposed to have the same body taper, and the smaller neck diameter should not effect anything. I would go for it.

I sent my BR to a smith and he chambered it to a BRX. Can't tell you how he did it, but he did.

Dialing in a previously shot chambered barrel is not as easy as dialing in a new barrel.

Go for it. Throat reamers are easy to get

Now there is a mouth full! You may end up having to buy 5 additional larger bushings to get the right size pilot for the reamer...been there!
