Phil, hello, I have and still am going thru all the same things. I just wanted to get a gun that I knew would shot well when I went PD hunting. Got lucky, had a lot of dumb idea's from reading this and that, got to know a gunsmith who told me the truth. I went to my first BR match about 8 wks ago, did exactly what you did, I was amazed, these guys can shoot. Ever since has been a blizzard of activity. I jumped right in, both feet! With some help from my friend the gunsmight, bought a BR gun, used, all necessary reload equipment, etc., etc., etc. Just about done spending money! At least for this year. Am now about to start my adventure of developing a load and tuning my gun. Haven't got a clue what I am doing as this level of accuracy is a whole new world for me! Just posted to the reloading forum concerning neck bushing dies vs Lee collet dies. I am having a ball, learning and discovering is a big part of the adventure. Hopefully, after the first of the year I can get to my first match and see what I've learned and will most likely, start another learning adventure. I highly recommend the guys here and at Benchrest Central. Great bunch of people, their patience is amazing. Encourage you to jump in, it is expensive but no more so than my truck, 4 wheeler, trailer, etc., etc.,. Have fun.
