Is it still around? I found a rifle in my favorite gunshop today and it followed me home. Just wondering if anyone is still shooting this or if I have a funky looking but accurate rifle to play with this summer.

It's a Norinco action fitted and bedded in a Win 52 stock with a Shilen barrel on it and a big Tasco scope from the 1990's.

Another question about the Norinco action, is it a good action in this application?

Never heard of anyone competing with a Norinco. Personally don't know anything about them either. Having said that you already own it so go give it a try.

Norinco rifles are no longer inported . Not sure when they stopped The Norinco jw-15 was a copy of the bruno and cz 452. if it's a repeter cz mags will fit.

Norinco stopped in 1994 with the gun ban as far as i remember. We used to buy the remington 870 copies and the m14. Lots of ak rifles used to come too. That 94 gun ban did a number on the crime rate. It went to almost zero because of the magazine limitations and no chinese mfr marked imports
