BR-3 conversion kit?

I seem to recall reading somewhere that Sinclair,??) has an "upgrade" kit available that converts the micrometer-style adjustment on a Redding BR-3 to a Culver type adjustment.

I don't know for a fact that this is true. So far, I've not been able to locate any info on this item.

Has anyone heard of, or have any info on this?

Thanks

Mike

There have been a few guys over the years who have done the conversion but I don't think Sinclair does. It will cost far less to sell your Redding on Ebay and buy a Harrells. An add in the br central classifieds recently had two up for sale in the $350 range. I think they were Hensler conversions.

Hello Mike,

We did sell a kit that updated the Redding 3BR, but we have not carried it for several years, here at Sinclair. Our old part number was RD3BRC. It consisted of the following Redding items, #03333 insert, and #03032 drum.

Cordially,
Bob Blaine

Thanks for the info, guys.

My BR-3 actually does a very good job. I just kind of like the idea of the click adjustment. This would seem to make for a more repeatable setting than a micrometer device.
