Boyd's stocks are the best bang for your buck IMO. Excellent work and finishing. Worth every penny at the price point. Very close to 100% drop-in ready. "IF" you need to remove any wood on the action inletting, it will be very minimal.

I just ordered one a few days back. If it is as good as the others I have from them it will be GTG.. a little heavy but that's fine..

i have a few of their stocks....all are great. I'm really thinking about getting one of their solid walnut stocks to see how they are, since all i have are laminate.

i've e-mailed seeing if they could do a 3" foreend stock...but never got a response

I've had a Sporter Thumbhole that has languished on a shelf for several years, a gift from a bud for helping him put together a 204. I may get started on it this weekend for a project stock. Nice looking, action fits well.

My question was specifically about the Pro-Varminter, and I wanted to know how easy it would be to convert it to a LH. Is the palmswell 'handed' or is it ambi? If ambi, should be a simple matter of cutting out for the bolt release and handle. My questions to Boyd's about same and the possibility of either making a lefty or simply omitting the bolt handle/release cutout have gone unanswered.........

I purchased a Boyd's tactical/target type laminate stock for my Rem 700. The fit is amazing. Even the lug is right up against the wood in the rear cavity-as it is supposed to be. I might have to buy more of these. At $ 100.00 a bargin.

Boyd's gear is problably best If you compare quality and price. You will be pleasently surprised by the quality.

I never got any response from them after several attempts, bought a different brand and am very pleased.

Bought their AT-one stock. Looks great but soon had a quality issue with it. Sent them pictures and they asked me to return it back for there evaluation department to look at it. Sent me a shipping label and I sent it in. After 5 weeks and several emails from me asking when will I get the stock back I was told don't have a date yet and they have a lot of things to evaluate.

Got the stock back and no explanation of work done or needed, stock was not repaired.

Wrote a letter to Boyd's CEO. Explained the issues I had with there customer service.

He sent me a email asking me to call the operations manager.

Called him today and spoke to the manager.

Out come is they are doing NOTHING to correct the issues.

Told me that if I ever wanted to buy another stock from them to contact him and he would give me a discount...

Yeah, like that's going to happen in my future......

So, my take is they don't care about there product or customers.....
