Boyds Spike stock, rear pillar bed yes/no?

Ruger MKII 243, shoots fine, was looking at the pillar bedding option, this could only be a plus right? I mean is it worth the extra money. sorry to sound cheap, but I still got medical bills

Probably not necessary right now if you dont have the spare money. You wont see it i bet

The wood in Boyd’s stock will compress under the tension of the action screws so pillar bedding helps. You can do it yourself pretty cheap. But if the gun shoots to your needs, no need to do just because it’s a typical practice.
