box for machine tools???

It's a rear motor plate for this NHRA Competition Eliminator car.

Somehow....it fit perfectly on the mock up:

These have many uses and I have 5 of them, For the money they can't be beat. For my mechanics tools I have a triple bank Snap-On box that I paid $11,000 for years ago, If I had it to do over I wouldn't have made that choice again. The Snap-On is better made no doubt, But they are way overpriced.

On my welding/machinist/Gunsmithing table in this pic, There are 2 of them back to back.
I looked real closely at the boxes you have and the us general ones that were eventually picked. The difference was in the quality of the slides and thickness of metal in the drawers.

Having said that, the US General boxes have more short drawers and the tallest drawers aren’t all that tall, so that is a major downside.

The U.S. General ones are good too, The main reason I like the Husky ones that I bought is the size, And It helped that I got 4 of them at one time on Black Friday for $199.00 each. Unfortunately the last one I bought recently after they doubled in price. The Yukon ones are dimensionally close but not the same and look real close to the Husky box, But the quality is a lot less, I have a relative who has the Yukon and it's pretty chinsy.

That was a great price - there was a huge pile of husky’s here locally and for whatever reason they never did have a decent sale and a year later they still have more than they can sell.
