Borka Torque Driver

Just received my Borka inch pounds torque wrench, reviewed on this sites Daily Bulletin several weeks ago. Got the Military model and am very impressed with it. Does everything as advertised, and a quality tool made in the USA. Am re-torqueing all my Burris Signature ring screws to the Burris recommended 20 inch pounds, for the T-15 torx screws, and 32 inch pounds for the base mount cross-bolts. Great guy to deal with: kept me informed when he received payment, and when he shipped the tool, including tracking number for the post office mailing. A big thumbs up! ;)

Frank,
Glad you posted this info. I also read that article and watched the video. I thought to myself that it seemed like a valuable tool. Got distracted with some other toys and tools and forgot about it. I think I will order one myself.

I received mine, too, Frank. I second all that you said concerning the tool and Boris. I purchased the "Military" model, ATD-15x72-12FS-MG.

I've been considering a torque driver for a while now. Out of curiosity, why did you choose the models you chose rather than, say, Borka's 10-80 inch-lbs driver?

The ATD-15x72-12FS-MG offered all the settings I needed and came in a nice package. I am confident that any of their offerings would be fine.

archerross: The military model has the torque setting numbers displayed on the tool bar at each appropriate hex "hole". The other models provide a sheet of paper to be used to establish the setting(s) you want to use. To me, that alone makes the military model my first choice--- no piece of paper to get lost, and made illegable from use over time. I was also surprised to see the nice 1/4" and 3/8" square drive adapter to take sockets. Don't remember seeing that attachment in the demonstration video, only the screwdriver bits being used. Just re-torqued 2 more scope ring sets, and continue to find the tool worthwhile. And, the fact that it's "made in the USA" means a lot to me: I avoid "made in China" as much as possible. :)

If I were to buy one, it wouldn't be the Military version. I can engrave the numbers on it myself and save a couple bucks.

I do think it's an excellent idea and I will probably buy one eventually. But my torque wrench works fine for now.

Thank you, gentlemen, for your kind words. Torque driver now comes with choice of two specialized cordura pouches, made in the U.S.A., an option to purchase accessories pack (hex bits, sockets, ratchet wrench) which fits into the pouch, and there is also a basic version of the driver, available from Borka Tools and Brownells.
