Rings/Bases Screws Depth

Don't know if I'm wording this correctly. It always seems to me that the depth of scope/bases screws head are just on the verge of being too shallow. I'm referring to area where the torx wrench goes into to loosen/tighten. I admit I have stripped them before and thankful I have a kit to extract them. Yes, I do have an inch pounds torque wrench. Just wondering if all screws have the same depth industry wide.

I'm doubtful they are. You can always buy replacements from Brownells, and they may suit you better.

I recently picked up a used rifle that had been converted to 8-40 base holes (another story), and bought the Brownell screws for bases, and picked up some ring screws at the same time. I'm very happy with them.
