Borescope

There is the Hawkeye Borescope that is USA made if you care to spend that much.
They are excellent. The angled eyepiece is nice to have.

If you want clear images, you'll want one that focuses. I have the model you mentioned and the focus feature works a lot better than the ones where you need to adjust the mirror on the end.

Brownells used to sell the Hawkeye Precision Borescopes, but now sell only 2 Teslong.

A Google search for the Hawkeye revealed nothing.
Brunos used to stock the Hawkeye
and back in the day, thats all we had
starting at $600 for a base model
---
None in stock now
Wonder if a $50 Teslong, made a $600 option obsolete.
Even if a guy does want to buy american only.

Where are cell phones made?

Most cell phones are made in East Asia, with China being the largest manufacturing hub for assembly and component production. Other key countries for manufacturing and assembly include Vietnam, South Korea, India, and Taiwan. While major brands like Apple and Samsung design their phones in their home countries, they primarily rely on complex supply chains in Asia for large-scale production, due to factors like the skilled labor force and developed infrastructure.

Looks like a copy and paste from AI, which i have found to not be accurate with several searches recently. I am sorry for this post turning this direction. An American made borescope would be nice

I bought mine from Bruos back in those times, seems I remember catching a sale for $575.

I just went to Hawkeye's site, holy balls have they ever went up in price!!:eek::eek:

It is a copy/paste from an AI response.
From personal experience, I can confirm the AI response.

PS. I wouldn't post anything if I didn't have personal knowledge of the subject.
Of course, the point of my post is that your cell phone was, in part, made in China - along with several other east Asian locations.

I went and looked too --- DANGGGG! doubled at least
Unfortuneately
The way business works, when slow or competition offers something like a $50 option driving them out of the spectrum
a company like them has to raise their prices enough to compensate for lack of income to stay in business when they slow down like that.
otherwiser completely go out of business
its a fine line
raise prices too much and they ensure they go out of business
if they don't raise their prices to a certain point, they won't even break even
They must be reaching for their last lifeline before going under

Not for $50-100. No borescope for you... :D

I believe the Hawkeye is US made. When they pop up in the classifieds they're around $800, but prices seem to be dropping slowly. Unsure if they're still being made.
Yep - I bought the Hawkeye probably 18 or 20 years ago and absolutely love it. Newer models allow for photo and video, which would be very desirable to folks like me. If a used, reasonably priced Hawkeye with those features pops up - would be worth a look. I also try to avoid Chinese anything - as difficult as that is in these times. The Hawkeye is, per the manufacturer, still made in the US.
