Borescope Guide

I wondered if people use a bore guide when using a borescope (Hawkeye)? Seems like it would be very advisable given the scope is stainless steel (I think). I believe I saw a delrin guide in Sinclair for this purpose, but not sure.

why not use your bore guide? I use a Mike lukas bore guide it works fine as a
hawkeye guide.

The bore guide makes sense. I got to thinking later, after a friend put his borescope down my barrel without a guide and wondered about any damage. He had trouble on one rifle since the stock comb was high, making it difficult to feed the borescope in. - Phil

If used with caution I think it would be pretty hard to do any damage to the bore. That being said I do typically use my Lukas bore guide as it is already in place during my cleaning procedure. Dry the bore insert the bore scope to determine if its clean or not.
