Bore Tech Eliminator

Got a bottle in from Sinclairs yesterday... tested it on my 6.5-284 after two days of shooting. Cleaned up with Boreshine to get all the powder out and what seemed like no copper fouling. Then ran eliminator through it like it said on the bottle, and out came green patches... Had to scrub with a nylon brush for three sessions before the pathces started out coming white. Works great, and no bronze brushes needed that give a false indication of copper. Barrel feels smoother now when running patches down it.

Great stuff...

I've tried Bore Tech Eliminator and must say that it worked very well. The nice part is that the fumes don't knock you out.

I used this weekend Bore Tech Eliminator to clean 2 factory Remington Police and I can say their barrels are very rough inside.
I was amazing by how fast Bore Tech cleaned the cooper fouling! After a session of Hoppes Benchrest, I decided to try Bore Tech and the paper patch came out blue!
Two more patches with Bore Tech and the barrel were cleaned, without cooper fouling.
I must say that it has no odor and the cooper cleaning agent is very strong as they "cleaned" my jag,it is now like polished). In fact, if you leave the wet paper with Bore Tech in contact with the jag 2 minutes, the paper patch will show you some blue.

I will try it on the range next week. I suspect I found a really good and non barrel harm, solvent!

I used Eliminator to clean after a 60 round match and it does everything is says. I've used it for about 6 months. I did, however, have to use about 10 patches and a bit of nylon brush action. I'd wet it down, go back to the race on TV. Next commercial, back to dry patch and another wet on, back to the TV, etc.

I haven't used eliminator and I am wondering if anyone's done a comparison between it and Montana Extreme 50 BMG. This is what I am using now and I dont see how it could get any better, except for the extremely pungent AMMONIA odor).

tightneck,
I use BMG 50 and Bore Tech Eliminator and I would say they are equally effective but no powerful fumes with Eliminator. I also have used Butch's, Sweet's, Shooter's Choice, MPRO-7, Shooter's Choice Copper, AccuBore, Wipe Out, etc. What ever is new and comes down the road I use. There is no magic formula that does it all no matter what the ads say.

I've used em all too and just wondered if I needed to drop $15 more on a new solvent. Thanks for the tip, I,ll just stick to the BMG.
