Bore guide, how far in?

.22 stop at the chamber opening. Killioughs makes good ones.
CF stops where the case mouth stops. I use possim hollow.

I Always use mop and patch to clean out chamber.

I use the Possum Hollow brand. Most, except for the rim-fire ones, use O-rings, but NONE of mine Keep all the chamber dry. But there is only a slight residual solvent near the neck and throat of the chamber. But my last action after removing the bore guide is to clean the chamber and dry it.
Yes Sir my last action is to mop the chamber with clean dry patches and finally a mop.

The Dewey and Sinclair I've used. Both brands are caliber specific with O-rings to prevent back flow of solvent.

Not matter which brand your choose, get one that's caliber specific with an O-ring.

I always clean the chamber afterwards anyway. My understanding or probably misunderstanding is that the universal ones stop a bit into the chamber vs custom ones go into the throat area. So the customs guide the rod better and the rifling has less of a chance of getting damaged. I know the brass is softer and the rod is covered or CF, but still.

TK Nolan retired and sold it. This guy bought it and they are again available.

Thats real good. I figured they would be lost thru time, glad he is following thru on making them. That patch box doesnt fit most stocks thats why TK quit offering them so beware of that when you order one.

Well, while looking for Mike’s contact info, I ran across something that says Mike no longer makes his bore guides. PMA would be my choice of bore guides that I have used. 21st Century Shooting also makes bore guides. While I haven’t used their bore guides (21st Century), they always make quality shooting tools/products.
