Bore diameter question

I read on the 6mmBR page here that the Lapua scenars are a little skinnier than other 6mm bullets and they shot better out of a krieger that had a .236 land, my barreel from krieger has a .236 bore dia. and .243 groove is this the same type of barrel talked about on that page or is that some kind of a custom made barrel and mine is standard diameter.

Kreiger offers two bore diameters in 6mm they are .236 and .237.
The Lapua's are indeed slightly undersized, but should work in your .236 bore if that is indeed what you have.

Thanks for response, according to the paper work Krieger sent my bore is .236 so it should shoot the Lapua's okay. I was just wondering if the barrel in that article was specialy made for the scenars but it sounds like Im A-okay. Im just wanting as many options around the 105gr. range as possibe. Thanks again.

Just a little information to all you 6mm shooters out there.

I have just ordered my 4th 6mm bbl and specified a .236 bore diameter.

Depending upon who makes the bbl, you can get quite a wide variation in actual bore diameter.

One .236 bore bbl required a .2364" pilot for the reamer. The most recent .236 bore bbl required a .2354" pilot for the reamer. Now, that is some easy math to do when looking at the variation in bore diameters! .001" variation is out there so you never know just what you are "REALLY" going to get.
