Bore Cleaner

I don't know if you have had a chance to try this yet, but Gunzilla CLP is the best bore cleaner I have ever used.

It not only cleans, it's non toxic, no amonia and will not hurt the bore in any way, I have not seen it hurt a stock yet either.

This stuff is amazing, in my 22's, I run one loose dry patch down the bore, one patch with Gunzilla, let it sit for 5 minutes and 2 to 3 dry patches and my bore is clean.
A really bad bore may need the use of a brush, and should be brushed from time to time anyway, but this stuff is fantastic.

It works well in CF rifles also, but may not get all of the copper. They make a copper remover also, non toxic and no amonia.

Give them a try at the least. Do a search fro Gunzilla, it will give you the company, Cheaper Than Dirt sells it and www.savagegunsmithing .com is a distributor.

When I was first told about it, I laughed, after using it once, I was not laughing anymore.

I also have no interest in the product at all, don't make a dime of it's sale, just wanted to pass the info on it to all of you.

I have used one after cleaning with Guzilla, my gunsmith has one, I don't anymore, wish I did, so the answer is no.

I go on results and how the rifle shoots after cleaned and how many rounds it goes between cleanings and it's done excellent.
I usually don't shoot more than about 150 rounds through it (my Savage BRJ) at a time as I love shooting my old mossbergs. They clean up great.

It's not that expensive, about $10.00, I'd just get a bottle and try it, I think you will be sold on it.

Once tried, most stay with it, great for people with respitory problems, almost no smell, non toxic.

We bought some at a gun show 3 weeks ago. Gave it a try on our center fires and then examined with the hawkeye. My observation is quite different that the op's. Can't beat the KG system.

John L: My experiences were identical to yours, related to thinking that I was getting my bores clean, using all the latest "wonder" cleaners.

That all changed almost 6 years ago when I got my first Hawkeye borescope. Now I know what's really going on inside the barrel, no guessing involved.

Carbon fouling is the toughest to get out. There can be a heavy buildup of it and you will never know until you start to get signs of high pressure (like blown primers), and by then it's too late.

I'm not saying that you are not getting your barrel(s) clean, but how do you really know? Just askin.
