Borden & Remington 700 port size

I am wondering if a Borden repeater action has the same port size as the Remington 700? Can you drop a Borden action in a stock that is for a 700 and the port match up with the same inlet for the 700 inlet. ;D

Dan, Jimmy's Alpine actions I believe are Remington clones but to be on the safe side, I would either call him or shoot him an E-mail. Jim and Joan Borden are great folks personally and to deal with. Jim with the Alpine (short action) and Timberline (long action) has made a Custom action with the good aspects and the foot print of a Remington 700. He has corrected the timing and primary extraction issues. He has replaced the weak Remington 700 extractor with a Sako Style extractor. He offers models that use the factory Remington magazine box and follower and the Wyatt followers and extended boxes. His sear(s) are cut for the trigger to be used so they are timed correctly. The personal attention to detail sets a Borden apart from many of the other custom Remington clones.

Dan, the port on my Alpine single shot lines up with the inlet on my Rangemaster stock just fine! The port is actually a smidge smaller than the stock inlet. The Magnum versions of the Alpine and Timberline have a longer port, 1/4" or so. I'd take a pic for ya but my action is out for a barrel.
