Borden Actions

I am really debating about using a borden action for my new hunting rifle build and just noticed their website says they are 26-32 weeks out on new actions. Has anyone ordered an action from them recently and can confirm those times. Im going to call tomorrow and talk with them about it. If I have to wait 8 months I might just go ahead and build it on a Remington action and build something else when the Borden action is ready since I want it before hunting season. Does anyone else make a good repeater hunting action that is priced near the Bordens?

Good idea to call Jim. I'm guessing that is a worst case estimate based on personal experience.

Just got off the phone with Jim he said they are about 12 weeks out, I was looking at an old page I guess. Great guy, he will be getting my business.

Defiance makes a very nice action also. You may what to check them out. Glen bulit me one in two weeks and it is a very nice acton to boot.

Thanks for the info. I called Jim the other day and after I talked with him I ordered the Alpine action from him. Should be here in a few months, great guy to deal with for sure.

I ordered a Borden Alpine single shot action in early November and took receipt approx. two months ago. There's a reason you have to wait as it is a quality action, attention to detail and worth a wait. Jim is a very personable person to deal with and knows his business.
