Bolt????

I have this remington 700 style bolt that has .590 bolt face but is to large to fit into remington action dimensions are to large. Bolt is .1600 longer than standard long action rem bolt and .034 larger diameter.. so if any of you might know what it fits please let me know. Thanks

Did Remington make a different action for 338 Lapua, 378 Weatherby, any of the Lazzeroni cartridges, 416 Rigby?
Those would be the correct size for the bolt head.

I'm guessing they fit a specific custom action 700 clone, but IDK which it might be. Again, just a guess but based on the fact that PTG made most Stiller bolts. I'd start with them. That said, I think it favors an Atlas.
Nevertheless, I'm still curious how you cam into these. I do think it's likely for a Lazzeroni cartridge, based on the .590 bolt face being a little tight for the Lapua..IMO.

A local guy has a 7.82 Lazzaroni rifle.....bolt looks a lot like that. The Lazarroni actions were made for them by McMillan's 'McBros' branch and we're coated with the Robar RB3 (?) process, I believe?

It's just a guess based on the length and diameter not being close to .750" I think it's a Stiller TAC338 bolt. I won't be in the shop for a few days or I could measure one for you. Might be McMillan. I have one of their actions I can measure also.

It is not a factory Remington bolt

I have bushed bolts from a custom action .730 diameter--I have a fixture for it--but I don't recall which manufacturer it is.

My guess would be a Stiller Tac-30 bolt. But, it is only a guess. Sorry.
