Bolt nose to bolt face measurement

What is spec for this measurement? In this case it is a Rem 700 bolt w/ a .223 bolt face.

If you are asking what I think you are I use .150". However after another dose a week ago in OR and me stroke my melon don't seem to mesh quite right and has 'tolerance stacking' with certain issues/functions. In other words my memory and comprehension tain't so good!!

According to Otteson, his sample action measured 0.149". So 0.0150" is probably typical production number.

.150" is a nominal dimension. Measure each action and it's corresponding service bolt. Cut the barrel/bracket/bolt combo to .005" bolt nose clearance for bench queens, and .007" to .010" for all others. Nominal .705" diameter counter bore for standard extractors, a bit more for the mini 16.

Thanks for your input, guys. After measuring several, i came up w/ .144 to .150, but i also suspect nominaly it is .150.
