Bolt Movement on Savage Action

So I purchased a Savage 10 FCP H-S Precision to rebuild. Everything has been fine up until the point I removed the barrel and started looking at the reciever threads. I sent released the sear while looking into the reciever at the bolt face and noticed something rather odd. When the firing pin makes contact with the bolt face the whole bolt turns slightly and shifts to the left. Has anyone seen this before? If so how is it corrected.

it is what it is they all would show the same thing to some extent. Put a barrel on it and fire a cartrige and it won't jump in the same way as much.

I will buy it from u for $100 because yours is probably junk.

LOL!!! I'm going to decline the offer of $100. I've got a Criterion barrel coming in Monday so I'll see what the rifle can do.

When you are actually firing the rifle the firing pin hits the primer and therefore travels less than when dry firing. When dry firing the firing pin hits the back of the bolt head.
