Bolt handle welding

You're the 2nd person to say that. My gunsmith was the first.
I guess I should listen! Haha! Is it cool just to ship a bolt to Alaska?

Dave Kiff at PTG will recommend Kevin Wyatt at Wyatt's Outdoors. Kevin may want the action also to position the bolt handle for initial extraction. I don't really know his turn around time for this particular service because my experience with him was a complete rifle.

Now I recommend a one piece bolt with a integral handle it is about the same price or cheaper than some of the prices of bolt and bolt installation cost . I started making them for the Military and Jerry . I think they are a must if you like a bolt that is clean from weld and clean up marks . I hate bolts that have the handles pop off. Thanks Dave

I would go with the kiff and dave can grind it to any diameter.I have a savage bolt he did,it is supreme.

I don't have any experience with this fellow, but it looks like an option. He has a video on there showing how tough it is to bust one of his TIG welded handles off.

Go with Dan at Accu-tig. If you can measure he will not need your receiver. He is the best and you will get it back before you need it.

If you want it done right and fast.
Dan at accu-tig, I will never send one anywhere else again. I learned the hard way.

I also will vouch for Dan I put lay out fluid on my bolt and scribed a line at the rear of the receiver and sent just the bolt to him got it back in about a week and it worked flawlesly!

Well I called him and emailed him 3 times.... I don't put near as much value on cust. Service as I do on quality of work, but it's been over a week since he replied.

He asked if the action had been trued and I said yes, and I haven't heard a word since.

I can measure well and I've got layout fluid too.... But I'm not going to send it until he says he will do it.

It may be 45 below zero there. Dan will need measurements it you have ways of doing it. He would only need your bolt. I imagine he is not working Saturdays and Sundays.

It's been over a week. I'm all for it of he gets back with me. It's obvious he does good work.

Call him again. I talked to him early last week and sent two bolts Wednesday to be timed. He will get back to you if he doesn't answer your call.
