bolt face 6.5x284

I currently have a remington 6.5x284. When the barrell is done
I'm thinking of having it rechambered to 6.5x47 Lapua. Will the
bolt face in the 6.5x284 match the 6.5x47. I want to shoot out to
1000 yds. Will the Lapua be as good as the 284? I think I'll get
better barrel life. Any comments

Your bolt as it is will work out just fine with the 6.5x47 Lapua...
If the new one is set up right, there is no reason it won't shoot
as good or better than the 6.5x284.
Quoting barrel life between the 2 is a whole new ball game.....
