Bolt bushing

Does anyone have any advice on bolt bushing. I want to do this on my own rifle, a Remington 700 and from what I gather so far the bolt is drilled and tapped and a threaded insert is screwed in and drilled just a tad larger than the firing pin to allow the pin to slide with ease. A diagram would really help or some additional information.

What you are asking about "bolt bushing" is different that what your post is about.

Your post is refering to "bushing the firing pin" a search on my second favorite site since getting my shop set up hs some answers for you.

Taildrag15x,

Thanks for the link to Borden Rifles. That was a really good article. When I find articles like that I save them so I can reference back to them later. You can't never tell when you will need one little piece of info that has slipped your mind. Again thanks, Brian Brown.

If you have a lathe and means to do it, Borden's method is right on. But, you are hard pressed to beat Gre-Tan, even if you can do it yourself. Look him up.
