Bolt Bushing Photos

No change to the extractor unless you want to change to a sako or an M-16 style. if you are having extractor problems, they should be diagnosed separately. Perhaps you think I'm removing the extractor and replacing, which I am not (and others who do this job don't either). If I have time this evening I'll post a video of the tool that i used to clean up face behind the extractor. --Jerry

Sorry, I wasn't trying to imply extractor problems. I have read that after removing a Remington extractor, that you should not reuse it and replace it with a new one. I normally do not. Just trying to learn what other people do. Although your tool looks small enough that you don't need to take it out at all. Looks like you have a real handle on your work,

DickE,
No offense taken. I posted the profiling tool so you can see how we (everyone has a similar profiling tool) clean up the face without removing the extractor. I am familiar with the guidance not to re-use a Rem extractor and would likely abide by it but often parts that are recommended to be replaced can be reused by a talented craftsman. --Jerry

I wanted to take a moment and post how grateful I am for the excellent service Carlsbad provided on my bolts. The two he showed in the pictures are the ones I sent to him, he received them on Saturday and they were heading back to me in GA on Monday. I received them extremely well packaged on Wednesday.

I would not hesitate sending Jerry whatever I needed work on.

Thank you sir and Merry Christmas!
