Bolt body diameter remington 700 bolt?

Not sure if these vary quite a bit but does anyone happen to know the factory bolt body outside diameter of a Remington 700.....I apologize if this is a repetitive question I did use the search and google. Thanks for any help..

Be careful and think it through before you order.
I recently order a one piece bolt from PTG for my stock Remington 700 action. My calcs. on the bolt diameter were .700 and that's what I ordered. Turns out my micrometer (or it's handler) were less accurate than I thought.
Should have ordered the .6995. Bolt was VERY tight and functioned stiffly in the action bore - had to spend time working on it to get it running smoothly. Not PTG's fault - my own lack of attention to detail.

^^^^^ +1, I would venture to say most tend to go too tight which makes for unnecessary rework and polishing compound in places that can wreak havoc.

I bought 5 gage pins, .699-.703 and checked fit with those. When you have a dozen+ actions to fit you've paid for the pins. JMHO

+1 great idea

And remember that the bolt bores are rarely straight or the same size so your calc might say a particular size will fit but in reality it may bind.
