Body die

If I were to shoot a 260 with a 30 degree shoulder instead of the standard 20 degree on the standard case, would I be better off going for a 260AI body die, a standard 260 body die or would a 6.5x47L body die work best?

I woud think you will need a custom body die, Redding makes them. Why 30~ and not 40~, the standard Ackley Imp.?

Hi BY

Yes I agree with bsekf,I'm having the same problem with a project I'm starting, and I'm waiting for an answer from RCBS on a 6.5x57 imp 30°;I'll keep you informed if they agree on making this body die for me.Why 30° instead of plain Ackley 40°? I suppose for loading issues just like i want to avoid too,and besides, the 30° is quite the same in terms of case capacity, case stability, and top for accuracy(lots of extreme accuracy cartridges have 30° shoulders),that's why I chose it myself.By the way, maybe you can ask RCBS if they will make such a die for you,if they've already made one, they will accept to do it again...Forster told me they don't do body dies,I wanted them to make the whole set I need(body, micro seater)but I'll probably have to work with RCBS...
