Bob White/Shooters Corner?

I've been trying to get a hold of Shooters Corner for the past week to place an order, but haven't been able to get through. Also, their voicemail doesn't pick up, which is unusual. Is everything okay over there? Or is Bob just out of town at a big match?

Yes, I did put a message to them via their website. So far, no replies. In fairness, it has only been a couple of days.

This isn't a complaint, but rather of concern. Bob is an older gentleman, and I'm just hoping that everything is okay with him and his wife. Hopefully, I can get in touch with them soon.

Bought an action frm them recently. Did take a while to get an answer but it moved quickly after that. In the meantime being such a patient sort I ordered a custom action else where. Tip: Be patient. (or learn to laugh at your foibles).

I've been eamailing and calling all last week. Today I got a recording saying the number has been disconnected.

Shooters' Corner, for those who don't know, maintained a great inventory of used Benchrest, precision, and varmint rifles. You could get some great deals. These were presented in "The List" published by owner Bob White.

I hope the phone issue mentioned above is just a glitch. Shooter's Corner was a special place, and nobody else in the world carried a large inventory of BR rifles like Bob did.

Edna was good on the email. Could someone email her and find out what's going on? It's seemed like Bob has been slowing down in recent years. He's also not exactly a spring chicken.

I just tried calling Shooters Corner, and their number is no longer is service.

This is definitely an ominous sign. I sure hope that this is only a temporary setback for Bob and Edna.

Does anyone have any news?

Just spoke to someone who shoots with Bob on a regular basis: From what I gather Bob is doing just fine and is away from the shop at the moment. there is an answering machine at the shop that gets filled up and then won't take any messages after a certain point. I am not sure about the "disconnected" message, but that is what I know.

That's great news. I'm on the opposite coast from Bob, but always enjoyed calling him up and ordering. He always is willing to help out with advice.

I'm glad to hear is absence is expected, and not out of necessity.
