I have a chrome moly barrel in the white. What is the best and most user friendly diy way to protect the barrel, and renew older action? Thanks in advance.

If you have a lot a time Rust Bluing doesn't require a lot of special stuff and looks real nice. Otherwise Duracoat or Cerakote is your friend.
