blasting snake skin pattern

I need to find where to get a plastic "sock" that comes on new barrels. The one I have is too big for the sporter weight barrel I have. I want to put it on the barrel and blast it with 80 wt glass beads, to get the snake skin pattern. If anybody has done this feel free to tell me all about it.

I'm pretty sure it was Speedy Gonzales who started the snake skin technique. You might do search on that as well.

I toured through this place when I was working in the area. I have ordered several items from US Plastic. Some for home projects and work related. I know we don't need the footage they sell, but sometime they'll have scraps, sample pieces, and possibly sell you what you need off a roll also. There only a phone call away.

Don't shoot the messenger. Last year there were several post about this. It would be easiy enough to contact Speedy and get it from the horses mouth. The post from last year mentioned that a custom rifle builter was taken to task over this. I think I even asked Speedy about it when I was out in Trinidad.

I know lots of guys that blast that pattern. That is just ridiculous. If I crap a certain shape turd in the toilet, can I then Patent it and sue anyone who does the same? Just ridiculous!
