Black Hills Match Ammo not quite up to snuff.

I bought a box of box of 50 .223 53gr HP MATCH ammo from them and proceeded to inspect it. Runout was a minimum of .006 tir and max was .011 and the average was .009" they grouped about 2" at 100.

Big burrs in the flash holes and the .003 variation in wall thickness with shallow primer pockets.

I thought the price was pretty darn good for something called match ammo but advertising it as match ammo was a real stretch of the imagination. I reload my own stuff but thought I would buy some of this stuff and see what factory claimed match ammo really looked like YUKKKK

Black Hills you guys need to re-evaluate your product and call it what it is,and price it about $2-$3 a box
of 50.

I will say they all "matched" ;D

If it is marked "Match" you must be doing something wrong. Hay all you "Tactical" guys make sure are wearing your taactical underware and useing tactical TP.

Are you using a ar type platform or a bolt gun, on or off a bench? I would have to disagree with Fat Albert, Im not sold on "Match Ammo" as its still factory. To me match ammo is handloads.

If my information is correct, Black Hills uses Winchester brass. For that price, you think they could use Lapua brass or some other high end components.
