I saw a deal in my Gun Deals email, and decided I kinda had to get one. I have been looking for bolt action 223, as the only format I have is in AR's, and I really wanted a bolt gun, now that I have enjoyed the accuracy they deliver. And even ones on here, used, were in the $550 range for a Savage, and on up. Having two CZ's already (527 in 17 Hornet and 455 in 17 HMR) the listing caught my eye. CZ makes an exceptional factory rifle, and my 17 Hornet can shoot about .2" groups with my loads.
Bud's Guns had this CZ 600 in the Lux model, with the Turkish walnut stock, with sights on the barrel. I've seen the Lux model in photos of other peoples collections, mainly on Rimfire Central, and wasn't sure I'd like that Razorback stock, "European styling" but the online reviews are also very good. It's got a 20" barrel, 9 twist.
This one was $529 with free shipping, and when I looked at the page, I noticed it also had a $100 rebate from CZ, so for $429 final price, it's a no-brainer! Same gun ay my local Sportsman's Warehouse is at $979, which is about the worst price out there. Got it from my ffl yesterday, and here she is:

Last night I cleaned the barrel, wanted to see if it had been shot by CZ or not. It did not come with a target, as my 17 Hornet did. After cleaning, I realized it definitely had been shot. So, the next question, how does the bore look?!? I've gotten spoiled by having the last three rifles I purchased used, and one I built myself recently, came with Shilen Match or Select Match barrels, and the rifling and barrels look soooo much nicer on those than factory barrels normally do.
And, I was very pleasantly surprised to find the barrel interior looks like my Shilen barrels do, it looks like it was hand lapped, but I would guess it would not have been, as a factory barrel. I have yet to mount a scope and go test shoot it, but wanted to share this little gem with my buds here. I put a post of this sale in the Reloading Components section (as people look there a lot), just to pass on the deal, but it was quickly removed, so hopefully someone saw it for the little time it was there and got one too.

If anyone else has one of these LUX versions, would enjoy hearing your input. Or, if you got a cool Black Friday deal, share that with us.
