Has anybody tried this new trigger yet?
I just ordered one because Trigger Tech doesn't offer the Diamond for my trued REM 700.

I thought the Trigger Tech fits the Rem 700 and 700 clones. I have one on a Borden Mountaineer which uses the same triggers as REM 700. I actually might be interested in selling it, I am partial to two stage triggers.
Edit: I see it doesn't have a bolt release, thats probably why they say REM 700 clone only.

I have several of the B&A Sport Tac Pro 2 stage and love them, I am going to try a Pro X.

Haven't tried that one yet. My favorite trigger for hunting/varmint 700 footprint rifles is the BnA single stage TacSport Pro with 90 deg shoe at 4 oz. Flawless performance and very consistent breaks. Can't imagine needing anything more. I have a BnA BR trigger on a BR rifle as well and it doesn't seem to be any more consistent than the TS Pro, the BR is just lighter.

Will be interesting to see reviews on this new ProX. Not much more expensive than the Pro so definitely worth a go. I'll keep that in mind next time I need another trigger.

I dont have any experience with the Pro X . However I do have a Pro and Competition.

The Pro is good out of the box but the Competition is noticeably better. I ended up polishing the internals of the Pro (which i believe is the difference between the Pro and the Pro X). The Pro responded very well to the polish. The Competition is still better but marginally.

If the Pro X is anything like my polished Pro, then you will be very pleased. The Pro X will arguably be the best trigger for the money currently on the market.

Thanks this is a good review!

I love how these trigger companies like BnA and TT are always evolving and pushing the envelope. Jewell better wake up or they'll be be left behind

I bought one.

Single stage, flat shoe for my NRL22 rifle.

Very well built and very cool to look at if that matters. Safety knob is a bit bigger than it needs to be IMO.

easy to adjust all of the adjustments. I installed it and it was breaking at 8oz out of the box with very, if any over travel.

They break very clean, very similar to a well adjusted Jewell with maybe more of “snap” when it breaks.

With Jewell in their current state I feel that I may sell off thr Jewells I have and move to Bix N Andy.

I wouldn’t own a TT again personally.

I think the Tac Sport Pro X is a GREAT trigger.

The Diamond only fits clones, not factory 700.
The Diamond fits the 700. The reason they recommend "clones" is TT feels that ALL clones are timed properly. I called their CS and talked with them about my issues with the Diamond not being able to get down to 4 ozs. (wouldn't get below 10 oz without slam-fire). They also said it could take 500-1000 rounds (depending on cartridge) before the springs took a final set. Right now mine is at 6 oz. with just over 325 rounds on it (factory Rem 700)

Would you say more about your experience with TT?
Without making it sound like I’m bashing them, as I’m not, plenty of people like them and use them without issue, yeah I will.

3 different Special versions purchased new from 3 retailers. All Rem 700s

During a match that had some rain at the start, first stage the first shot was a drastic hang fire and after that the trigger would not allow the bolt to cock.

Second trigger had the exact same thing happen except this time it was a very dry and dusty match.

3rd trigger developed a hang fire in extreme cold while coyote hunting. The gun would fire about 3/4 of a second after the tigger was depressed.

Unlucky for me I’m sure but that was enough for me to move on.

I think the reason it is listed as "clone actions only" is because factory 700's have a bolt release built into the trigger and the Diamond doesn't. If your 700 has been modified to not use the factory bolt catch I don't see why they wouldn't work. They both use the same attachment to the receiver.

TT says it's because they don't feel that factory Remingtons are TIMED properly, But they feel ALL "Clones " are. I guess you could ask the Smiths that work on "Clones" if ALL of them are timed properly when new.
