Bix sear insert?

Yep. Flipped it around and everything is as I would expect. Thanks guys
I have the same problem. I couldn’t get the pin fall I needed with a couple different hangers and then I noticed the sear insert. The other Bix’s I have don't have them. After reading this thread I pulled the sear out of the trigger and removed the torx screw in the insert, but it doesn’t want to slide out. How are you supposed to remove the insert so it can be rotated?

I don't remember exactly how it came out, but I DO remember it not being immediately obvious. I had to fiddle with it.
Ah, yes. The curse of the mechanically inclined.

'Don't ask me HOW I did it. Just hand it over and let me do it. Trust me, it's simpler than trying to explain it.'

You can do it. It may have just been a friction fit. I used the same little torx wrench for the screw to pry it out (if memory serves)

I used a dental pick to try to coax it gently out. A little nervous prying on a $600 trigger, but will probably do it anyway if I don’t hear from Bullet Central tomorrow :)

The Bix I bought about 10 years ago had this feature and it broke off a piece that jammed trigger up. Sent it back for replacement. All it does in reversed position is change firing pin fall. Very small screw and fragile.

Emailed Bullet Central Friday afternoon and got a call from Chris Harris this morning. We spent quite a bit of time talking about trigger setup and action timing. It was a great conversation. One thing I learned is the comp trigger with the insert is designed for use in a Remington 700 action. The sear insert can help overcome some of the inconsistencies in a 700 bolt. They aren’t intended for use in a Bat, which is where I had it installed.
I heard Bullet Central was down a couple techs and that can be hard on a company. I couldn’t tell by my response time. Having run a business for 40 years I know how tough it can be to work thru staffing setbacks. I enjoy doing business with them and hope they can find some good help.
