Bipods

Does anyone shoot with a Sinclair (F-class) or similar bipod from a bench or is the Harris style the way to go. I do not compete just like to out shoot my buddies. I shoot 6mm br, 223, 6.5 cm. Not looking to shoot off a rest. Using Harris now, but thinking about the other style.
Thanks Bill

If your not going to shoot FTR the Rempel is great! Solid and heavy with locking adjustments. But a bit heavy if you need to make a weight class..

No worry about weight, just trying to find out if the ski type are a good fit for shooting from a bench.
Thanks
Bill

I have a sinclair on one of my rifles for F/TR and I use it from the bench for load development. I have a harris and an atlas too, but I think the ski type is a bit more stable

Plus one. I use a Sinclair for load development. Works great. Excellent option for hunting style rifle stocks not designed to ride bags.

The ski styles popular for F-Class are a bit more forgiving to various factors, especially more recoil which tends to move the rifle more before the bullet leaves the barrel.
I find the ski style more forgiving also. It seems harder to inadvertently torque or twist your rest before the shot, if that makes sense to you.

No issues for me with the Sinclair. Take your time setting your rifle up and you will be fine. At club matches, I shoot as well as those shooting off expensive coaxial rests. I am just not as fast as they are getting rounds down range, but still have plenty of time to fire within the time limit.

Is it the f class bipod were talking about? I don't see any other ski type on Sinclair.

Yes, with the elevation adjustment. I use a carpet square (like for an office floor) on the bench under the legs.

If you are use to loading a bipod give the Flex Pod a look. Price and durability wise you can't beat them. Any questions I can answer about them, shoot me a pm.
I like to lean into my rifle (load bipod). The problem I have is on a bench they slide forward on me. Wasn't sure how the f-class style worked. If they will slide on me, then I'm no farther ahead.
Thanks Bill

I shoot as well or better off a Harris WITHOUT NOTCHED LEGS as I do from a Sinclair heavy varmint from rest with my hunting rifles.

Notched legs are too springy for real accuracy.

I also use the knockoffs if it’s just for the bench.

I need another bipod but need it to swivel, tilt, and hook up to picatinny. What choices do I have.
If those are the features that you are looking for I would recommend an Atlas. Another option would be to run a Harris with an adapter. I have both and the Atlas is the better option in my experience.
