Bipods, Harris Or Atlas?

Harris swivel or Atlas BT46 PRS? I currently use the Harris S, is the Atlas worth the extra $100?

Thanks
Paul
I would pick the Atlas CAL bipod over any other Atlas version.
That said, MY first choice for stability and strength is the Accuracy-Tac. Expensive? Hell yes!!!!!
Now, back on subject of Atlas v. Harris.
I own more bipods than a body should ever need and roughly half of them are Harris S-BRM that has the cant adjustment, notched legs and extends 6-9".
Triad Tactical is a great place to order from. If you need ARCA mounting clamp then look at Area 419.

th
Atlas 5-H is doing a fine job under my 338 Lapua Imp.

Why the notched legs? I prefer the self leveling quick deploying style.
I am just curious. Again I may be missing a benefit.

You are. Ever be behind the rifle and need to raise and lower the bipod? Much easier with the push button notched than the friction turn on a smooth leg. Also you will only have to have the leg slip back in once when shooting to sell it and get the notched leg version.

Also with the swivel feature you don’t need to worry about “self leveling” legs although they aren’t.

Points well taken!
Thanks.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but on the Harris aren’t you supposed to lock the legs in on at least the first notch to avoid it from bottoming on the feet and causing bounce?

I have a McMillian CF stock. The tightening bolt on my Harris bottoms out before the bipod is tight against the stock.
