Hello all,I want to install a bipod spigot in the front of my stock. It is to mount a versapod bipod.Any pitfalls about drilling and epoxying into the front end? Thanks, Jim

The swivel stud may be epoxied in place after drilling, but first choice would be to drill into aluminum (if your stock has a full length bedding block).

Thanks for the replies guys but I guess I should have been more clear as to where I wanted to put the spigot.I actually want to drill the nose (for lack of a better word) parallel to the barrel and epoxy the spigot into the stock rather than mount the adaptor conventionally. Thanks, Jim

Jim, I did a Medalist a few months ago with a spigot that I made, and I did not install a "pin" so it can rotate all the way around and hit the barrel if you let it. The only other things that I would watch for is that depending on how deep you drill it, pull the steel sling studs because they go almost all the way threw. The aluminum starts ( going on fuzzy memory) about 2" into the nose and you will most likely hit it off center so if you have access to an end-mill bit it may help. I drilled mine with a drill bit and it walked when it hit the aluminum.. after lots of hogging with the dremel it still did not come out straight. I like the set-up, I think it works well. Best of luck.
