bipod mount / sling stud?

I purchased a first generation Sinclair F-Class Bipod some time ago and haven't used it much. I was trying to mount it on my Sako P94S today for some 100 yard 22 LR practice. I could not get the bipod pin close enough to go into the sling stud because of the thickness of the felt between the bipod and the stock. Do they make a taller sling stud that will make this work? It figure I am not the first person to run into this issue.

I found some Uncle Mike's spacers from Midway. That might do the 1/4" I need.

Do you have the two black thumb screws backed out so the bipod section that the stud goes into is loose? Typically you get the screws loose put the bipod on the gun then tighten the thumb screws to get the bipod/felt nice and tight against the stock

Remove the felt and glue on leather or rubber strip. Besides being too thick, the felt is too "cushy" and therefore not as stable.
