Binocular Repair

I have 3 pair of M-19 military binoculars. From what I can find out they are Viet Nam era made by Bell & Howell. Short version of this, one pair of these binoculars I personally used for many years, they are just not as clear as they once were. I would like to have them repaired (cleaned?) so I have the clear vision that they once had. Does anyone know of a reputable binocular repair shop that could take care of these older binoculars for me. I would like to find a shop that while repairing or cleaning my binoculars if they found a problem or potential problem they could take care of it in house. Maybe someone that has some experience with these binoculars.

Once upon a time (long, long ago) I had my binoculars repaired by:
Tele-Optics
5514 Lawrence Ave.
Chicago, IL 60630

I have no idea if they are still in business or not. Looking at that location on Google Maps, I think probably not.

P.S. I see that the owner, Herb Koehler, died last June.

I've also scratched around on the Internet and found a few that are advertised. It seems like the better ones (or maybe just better websites) are in England. Maybe a few phone calls will help.

Try these people, I got good recommendations.

I sent a pair of B&L 7x50 WWII era glasses, they said 12 weeks turn around, it's been a little longer. Give them a call.

I got my B & L glasses back, they work perfectly. They did exactly as they said they would. The glasses focus and the hinge was tightened, the prisms aligned. The outside is still 'vintage', but is in very good condition. The cost was less than quoted. I would use Suddarth again.

Old post but I’d like to add. I bought a 10 X 40 Leitz from a woman in local classified for a really, really good price. Something seemed off so I sent them to Mr. Suddarth and could not be more pleased with his work. I now own a high end binocular for a fraction of the cost.
