When I began shooting about 50 years ago, Bill Ackerman was The lead Weaver Scope Engineer in El Paso, TX. When it closed about 1985 he opened his own business nearby. About 10 years later, he moved it to New Mexico. I have not talked to him in many years. I have heard that his daughter now runs the business. I suspect he is well along in years now. He has done some great repair work for me on my many Weaver scopes.
