Big Surprise In Waco... Cochran Hammers

Thanks Chuck. I think long range shooting is the only sport where you can be 40 years old and still considered a kid.
We got started early on friday to outrun the impending storms. The storms didnt come till evening but the wind was nasty. Saturday we didnt start till noon to let the lake in the pits subside. Again the wind really sucked and the sun started to break through to give a little mirage. Sunday was picture perfect. Sun and a light breeze.
The turnout was a little light but the competition was tough. We had shooters from Indianna,Michigan, Oklahoma,Kentucky,Alaska as well as all over Texas. Those that stuck around after the matches probably had the best time. We cleaned guns, drank beer and swapped lies. Kenny Porter kept us well fed. Seems as though alot of people have never heard of Fritoe pie.
Colby deserves a great deal of credit for running a good match. Do to circustances beyond his control, he was match director,RO and stat officer. It didnt help that his laptop went TU after the first day. He ended up running his home computer off of an inverter in his pickup.
