Big blue cast for the sewer rod

I just use a ball bearing, my drill press and a bathroom scale to check hardness. No, it's not up to scientific standards nor is it proven accurate but it's close enough for what I want to know.

I look at it a lot like a comparator. Not a definite measurement but a figure to work with for comparison.

I also question the accuracy check at 50 yards. Not to give a hard time to the OP, but in my personal testing it's difficult at best to make an accuracy determination at 50 yards. No matter if it's a cast or jacketed bullet. I tried shooting at 50 yards and once I stretched the same loads out to 100yds I was shocked at the difference more often than not.

I've come to decide 100yds is the minimum if you really want to check accuracy. Just my opinion and again, not trying to give anyone a hard time.
