Bib Bullets?

I was wondering where everyone orders their Bib bullets from? And what is the smallest quantity you can get? I wouldn't mind trying some, but I don't want to commit to a high volume if I find they don't shoot as well as another bullet. Thanks

several times I have ordered small amounts depending on what he has left on a run or extras to try.

Randy recently completed the move into a new home and shop.....not sure if the BR Central ad has BIB's new phone number or not:,515) 438-4010 is the new number. The mailing address remains the same.

The new BIB 88 gr. 25's shoot very well. :) -Al

Never fear buying a bunch of the ballistic idiot's creations. They are like money in the bank. Maybe better. Someone will be happy to take them off your hands.

Ray is correct as usual. If for whatever reason your rifle doesn't care for the Bibs, listing them here or on benchrest.com will insure a quick sale. I sold some of his 10 ogive 30's a while back for the same that I paid for them. I had 20+ emails within just a few hours of listing them.

If you buy lots of the 25's and find they don't suit you, or your rifle, I'll give you what you paid apiece for the balance..... that's a heck of a insurance policy........

Thanks for the shoot very well.I take it these bullets are for score shooting only at 100,200,300 yards?

Yes, Lynn...they shoot very well. I've attached a couple of targets I shot with them. I would imagine a shooter could use these for Score or Group shooting. I'm unaware of any difference between 'Score' or 'Group' bullets.

Has anybody used BIB's to win at 600 yards in benchrest format with 6mm?
Just trying to find a good bullet for 600 yards not trying to compete in score or shortrange.

I'm not sure how this relates to the gentlemans question about the BIB 88 gr. 25 cal. bullet? -Al

Lynn, if you read the entire thread, the gentleman is interested in the new .25 cal. BIB's..not 6mm stuff. They, the .25's)are available in several weights other than the 88's, but that's what I have experience with..hence my reply and my posting of the targets to add creedence to what I'd written earlier about their performance.

You certainly didn't offend me...I'm just confused as to the point you're making, is all. -Al

Thanks Al. Threadjacking seems to be running rampant these days.

I did get a hold of Ms Bib,on Mr Bib's behalf as he is hunting), who was extremely helpful. She informed me that Bib has made 88gr, 100gr, and 110gr .257 FB bullets. She also mentioned that they currently have no .257 bullets on hand, and that they would be 12 weeks out from delivery.

She also pointed out that they sell for $275 per thousand, and that he would sell in smaller quantities.

Marksman: I should mention that the groups above with the 88 gr. BIB 25's were fired from my SGR built 250 Savage Improved hunting rig shown here. With it's small forearm, 1.5 lb. trigger and 6 power scope, it's hardly a serious accuracy platform....to say the least. ;) In a purpose built accuracy rig, I think the accuracy would be exceptional.

Randy has also been testing the 110's in his '257 Idiot Mag' case which has near-257 Weatherby velocities and great accuracy to match.

Hope this helps. :) -Al

Al-

Looks like great minds think alike. I'm planning on trying them in my Savage 250AI. While it's not a match grade gun, nor all that pretty, she serves her purpose well.
