Guys, I just got scammed for a set of headlight bezels. Dude contacted me via PM and said he has a lead on a set from his friend. I reached out to a guy named Corey Williams. Email :coreywilli101@gmail.com. Scammed me for 150 bucks. Look out for that name. The phone number he texted me from was 1-240-452-1319, a f**kin burner phone when I called it. [Seller] only says he accepts Zelle. Be wary.

Scam message: From @Fraser121... I can help you out with a lead. contact Huff in VA. on huff10pwilliams@gmail.com, regarding your request. he had Mopar Performance Rock Rails wants to part with. I purchased items from him in the past and they arrived in top condition

We have started multiple threads on this subject. And I've had a warning pop-up running for months now. But people are still not getting the message.

If a NEW Member directs you to a 3rd Party to do a Sale -- Almost certainly he is a scammer and a criminal.

And to you all you non-upgraded new members out there -- It is a violation of Forum Rules to offer items for Sale in the first 30 days. If you do that you will be Permanently BANNED. No discussion.

People -- For Pete's Sake LISTEN to me!!

Another guy lost some big bucks this week.

He got a text claiming to be from a seller. Then that buyer sent out hundreds of dollars.
This was soooooo wrong.

No phone check, no custom photos requested, no PM back to the REAL Seller to confirm.

People WAKE UP!!!

EVERY single Forum member who claimed (to me) that he had NOT posted his phone number or email in the Forum was WRONG. I found that info with a 30 second search.

You must assume that you have probably posted your phone # or email at some point. Some guys even posted their info on the Seller's public profile. That's nuts...

With your phone number a scammer can send a text to you claiming to be a SELLER.

People for the Nth Time -- if you get an unsolicited text or eMAIL...

We have stated over and over that you should NEVER send money without making a VOICE Call. VOICE -- got that people. Pick up the phone!

Folks, I am not aware of any person in 20+ years who has been scammed who actually picked up his telephone and made a VOICE CALL to the Seller.

NEVER EVER send a Frigging Penny without a VOICE CALL!

Throughout multiple Forums scammer activity has increased by an order of magnitude in the last 3 months. The scammers are able to use fake phone numbers. And remember if a scammer asks for PayPal F&F, or Zelle, or Venmo F&F do NOT pay a Penny! You have NO buyer protection with Zelle, Venmo F&F or PayPal F&F. That's why the scammers love those services. Also do not use CashApp or ApplePay.

Scammers are busy on the emails as well. It's a fraudulent world out there.
