Beware of Anderson bolt carriers

Bought an Anderson lower once. The machining was awful and the anodize didn't stick in places. I've seen bolt carriers that don't come staked. And the problems I've seen elsewhere tell me to keep staying away. Zero reason to get an Anderson when there are better brands out there.
I built an AR "match rifle" on an Anderson lower and could not be happier. No issues with assembly, all the pins fit correctly, the Geissele triggers installed easily and it looks great. Plus it was cheap.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.

That is true, but one nut or apple in a barrel does not make all the rest of them bad.
Just that one. Some very high end products also have a faulty one on occasion. Point being you don't condemn all of that companies products due to one not meeting quality control.
Just saying.

I was talking about finding a good one in a bunch of bad.

I'm not saying that all are bad, but more than what I would consider acceptable are bad. You're going to get that with a lower priced option. I'm not going to take my chances with a company like Anderson when you can spend not much more money and have a way better shot at getting a good part.

To be fair, I've also bought a Spike's brand BCG and it wasn't even staked a little bit. A complete miss. After I mentioned it to the vendor, Spike emailed me and wanted me to send it back. I staked it myself to save the hassle. I just wanted to let them know one slipped through.

So, it can happen to any vendor. I've had zero issues with 'poverty pony' lowers and uppers. I don't even mind the horse. LOL

lol, Spikes isn't high on my list either.

Beware of Anderson anything. Called poverty ponies for a reason.
I have personally used Anderson Parts and have found them to be quality parts.. The reason the parts are cheaper is because they heavily invested in modern highspeed equipment and hydraulic tooling fixtures... A lot of people who bad mouth them are usually the ones who have to have mainstream brand parts because they spend too much time listening to people who type more than shoot

Good to post when there are problems with any equipment. Is there an easy fix or solution? What would be a reasonable cost to repair by a gunsmith?

In this case it is a replacement carrier. This part has probably been farmed out but I would have to wonder if any other parts have been farmed out to the same company.
